Da Ali G Show

We have been production and litigation counsel to Sacha Baron Cohen's multiple-Emmy-nominated "Da Ali G Show," the path-breaking television series that already has led to two hit movies (Borat and Bruno, for both of which we also were production and litigation counsel) and has influenced countless comedians. We devised the "legal roadmap" for the series, did the legal research, drafted the contracts, and successfully defended the series against all claims. In 2009 and 2010 in particular, we defeated a high-profile Los Angeles libel lawsuit and appeal, involving one of the "Ali G" scenes in the series. We also won an award of costs and legal fees against the plaintiff.
